Jim Parker
Minister
Jim Parker graduated from San Jose Bible College with a Bachelor of Religious Education in 1965. He was Associate Pastor at Ceres Christian Church from 1965 to 1967 and the Senior Pastor at Valley Christian Church in Livermore, CA, from 1968-1976, at which time he also directed Encounter House, a residence for young adults. In 1976 he joined Christian Encounter Ministries, becoming the Executive Director in 1979, a position he held until 1994. At that time he transitioned to the position of Minister of Discipleship and Pastoral Care and Outreach at Christian Encounter Ministries. Jim retired from full-time service in November, 2010. He now works part time.
