Residential Youth Program

an integrated approach

Life’s greatest challenges are not simple. They affect us spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Fifty years of experience has confirmed our belief that the deepest healing results from a tightly integrated team of educated and experienced pastors, counselors, teachers, and caregivers working in concert to address the whole soul.

CORE PROGRAM ELEMENTS

DISCIPLESHIP

  • Each student works through structured, biblically grounded and gospel-oriented curriculum with an assigned mentor.
  • Students participate in individual and group devotional times during the week and Sunday worship services held on site.
  • Seasoned pastors with graduate degrees provide individualized spiritual care and guidance.

COUNSELING

  • Each student meets with a counselor at least once a week.
  • Our therapists hold Master’s degrees in Counseling and are supervised by a resident LMFT.
  • When possible, family reconciliation and healing is nurtured.

SCHOOL

  • Averages a 3:1 student-teacher ratio
  • Accommodates learning disabilities
  • Each student works toward individualized goals based on academic assessment.
  • Graduates receive CA state high school diplomas.
  • Supports student’s future academic goals
  • Experiential education elements include a 15-day summer backpacking trip and a 4-day snow trip with trained leaders.

WORK TRAINING & LIFE SKILLS

  • Students are exposed to a variety of work experiences and tasks.
  • Mentors give regular training in soft vocational skills and instill a strong work ethic.
  • Healthy rhythms of work, chores, rest, and recreation are established.

PROGRAM COST

Program cost is based on a sliding scale which starts at $300 per month for families with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) up to $30,000 per year, and incrementally increases to $5,000 per month if AGI exceeds $244,000 per year.

No student will be turned away because of inability to pay. In situations of great need, 100% scholarships are available.

A family's AGI is only part of the story. We will take your unique situation into consideration and work closely with you to create a financial agreement that does not cause undue hardship on your family.
