Amanda (Polejewski) McIntyre, CEM 2007 graduate, shares about her journey since leaving CEM and the importance of giving back.

Amanda and Carl McIntyre, married December 2015, with Jordan.

When I came to the Ranch, I had very little education and I had been living on the streets. I call it “broke, busted, and disgusted.” I was really rough, unlovable, and I acted out a lot. I was a terror, really. [CEM staff and interns] just loved on me. They helped with my education. They talked about Jesus and how He loved me. They showed Jesus through their actions. That was hard for me. My own mom gave me up. If my own mom couldn’t love me, how could anyone else love me?

(Joseph, a CEM student for about 16 months, finished his studentship in June of 2016.)

As a missionary kid who grew up in China, Joseph always had dreams of returning some day. Likewise, when Joseph finished his time as a student at CEM last June, thoughts of returning for an internship were already brewing. Little did he know that he would have the opportunity to return to both of these places so soon.

After completing a stint with the Mission Builders program of Youth With A Mission in Chico last December, Joseph was certain he wanted to attend YWAM’s Discipleship Training School beginning in March. It was a clear ticket back to China. During his YWAM stint, Joseph was invited to return to CEM for two months to help with grounds maintenance. The offer to come back was like an offer to return home.

For more information on how to support Joseph in his upcoming endeavor, email him at josephsnyderchina@yahoo.com
