Agony Ride '26: Over half a million raised in gifts and pledges

It’s a really beautiful thing to partner with God. When we join in with something He’s doing, our offering is small, and yet He can multiply what we give.

When we lay down our lives for our friends, when we choose to give for another’s well-being at the expense of our own, we are becoming more like Christ.

The number of miles ridden is simply a number — it doesn’t capture the blood, sweat, and tears; it doesn’t capture the strong headwinds; it doesn’t capture the heat coming off the pavement registering at 107°. It does represent our human effort − us giving all we possibly can.

But the money raised represents what God can do through His people. It represents His love and His faithfulness.

In 2022, fundraising surpassed $300K for the first time. This year, that number has almost doubled, with gifts and pledges totaling $630,240 at time of publication. The Agony Ride continues to grow with a record number of riders and saggers this year.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to every person who played a part in Agony 2026. Each mile ridden, each water bottle filled, each dollar given made a difference.

“Who you ride with is a divine appointment....You seem to find out a lot about yourself when you’re suffering. I knew I couldn’t do it alone...”

- Isaac Humber, 1st Agony Ride

“I never thought that Agony and comfort could be synonymous with one other. We’re out there grinding away, choosing how we suffer with the knowledge that the students here did not get to choose their suffering in the same way that we did. We can use our trials and tribulations to come alongside them, and pray with them, and comfort them the same way that the Lord comforts us. I saw it at every SAG station. I saw the love of the volunteers pouring into us as we poured out all we had for the kids, for the interns, for the Ranch itself. It was so beautiful.”

- Tabitha McBride, 3rd Agony Ride

“The wrestling over when to be done was my biggest challenge. I thought, ‘I can stop now. But God told me, ‘No, you need to seek Me.’ I left that SAG and I spent the next four or five miles feeling God’s love over me, that it was enough….It thrills me to know I don’t have to measure up to anybody’s expectations of me.”

- Suzanne Hartley, 15th Agony Ride
