Angel Sanchez, Guys’ House Leader
I’ve been the Guys’ House Leader for nearly a year! There has been a lot of internal development for me that hasn’t occurred without its struggles. God has used this time to challenge the fears and insecurities in my heart. The main lesson I’ve learned is that it’s not me who is doing the work, it’s the Holy Spirit. I’ve seen the Spirit work in and through the residents to sharpen all of us here at the House. The Lord has humbled us and encouraged us, brought us together, and provided grace in the seasons when we weren’t as close to each other.

Grace Bunn, Girls’ House Leader
It has been quite comical for me to sit back and see how much my own story is paralleling what He is doing in the girls’ lives. As I have struggled surrendering to the Lord, choosing His path for my life hasn’t always felt like He was present through all of it. Being able to watch the girls go through similar stages in their lives has allowed me to see God’s hand of grace in my own life as well as point the girls to where God is at work in their lives and hearts.
No role in the kingdom of God can be done in your own strength. The grace in it is that I don’t have to carry the House ministry alone, that I am placing it back into the hands of a loving Father who is willing and desiring to be right in it with me.
